The Eli and Edythe Board Art Museum is the Contemporary art museum at Michigan State University, slated to be completed in the Spring of 2012.

From the donation by Eli and Edythe Broad (for whom the museum is named) of an original $26 million the museum was materialized. At the June 15th 2007 the MSU Board of Trustees meeting approved the construction of the museum with initial plans to demolish the building currently in the proposed location, the Paolucci Building.[1] Michael Rush was named as the founding director in December 2010.[2]
Following the approval of the museum there were initially 10 semifinalist firms identified from a field of approximately 30 firms.[3] From the list of 10 semifinalists, five architectural firms were selected to submit competition proposals. The proposed building was to include a minimum of 26,000 square feet (2,400 m2) of gallery space and will accommodate both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
